After I published the article about the new updated Nike Terra Kiger 2 & Wildhorse 2, I got a lot of requests for some photos of the new updated features. I’ve been running in the Kiger 2 for the past month or so and can only say that the shoes are unreal. So here’s some close ups of the changes for that shoe, first up — the new heel design…
Round the back is the new heel counter, think of the shape as resembling a pelvis and spine — the shape basically follows the contours of the recycled rubber Nike ReGrind overlay © RunTramp
The ReGrind continues under the new ankle collar — which is padded with a perforated foam — and down over the flywire eyelets © RunTramp
Up front the forefoot is still roomy but is improved with the new internal toe box design and sweet triangular protection overlays © RunTramp

The awesome ‘burrito’ tongue is still there, now with design cues from the ankle collar, namely ReGrind and perforated foam © RunTramp
The forefoot features the same design but the midfoot density has been dialled up a notch for more protection on technical terrain © RunTramp
The sole wraps nicely around the front to protect those precious little piggys © RunTramp

So, there you go folks. The shoe will be launched this Fall/Autumn.
All that’s left to say is that it rocks.
